Dr. biol. hum. Gisela Büchele MPH

Gisela Büchele, born 1969 in Ulm, has worked for 10 years at the Institute of Biometrics, Ulm University. In 2002, she graduated the Masters Programme for Public Health at the University of Ulm. That year, she joined the PASTURE-group as an epidemiologist and has a position as a researcher at the Institute of Epidemiology, Ulm University, since then. Her main research interests are the epidemiology of asthma and allergies with regard to environmental determinants. Apart from the PASTURE / FORALLVENT / EFRAIM studies she is actively involved in other national and international multi-centre projects (e.g. ISAAC, GABRIEL).

Dr. med. Jon Genuneit

Jon Genuneit was born in Hamburg in 1978. He graduated medical school in Ulm and has been conducting research at the Institute of Epidemiology at Ulm University since 2003. Since 2008 he is taking a Masters course in Epidemiology at London University. He is an active member of several scientific societies, both in the respiratory and epidemiological field. In 2006 he received the award for junior scientists of the German Association for Epidemiology. His main research interests are the epidemiology of asthma and allergies with a focus on environmental and genetic determinants. Apart from the PASTURE/FORALLVENT/EFRAIM studies he is among others actively involved in the international multi-centre projects ISAAC and GABRIEL
